Beddagana wetland park Kotte has been created as an example of wise use of wetlands while strictly preserving the existing wetland habitats. The parks will create one space amidst the Wetland for Education, Eco Based Recreation for both locals and Foreigners. Furthermore, the two-conference hall and class room spaces will provide research opportunities and environment education for adults, research students and professionals in the environment field. 

Urban Development Authority Proposed to outsource the Operation and Management Right of Beddagana Wetland Park while preserving its natural habitats and environment value whilst promoting wise use activities.
