Polgahawela Export Processing Zone (EPZ)

The Polgahawela EPZ is located in the Kurunegala District of Sri Lanka’s North Western Province. Established in 2000, the zone spans 65 acres, with 40 acres allocated for industrial activities. Positioned along the Polgahawela–Kegalle Road and just 77 km from Colombo, the zone offers strategic access to national transport networks.

Designed to host low-polluting industries, the zone is equipped with essential infrastructure such as asphalt-paved internal roads, a 4 MVA power supply via a dedicated high-tension line, and 450 m³/day of potable water provided by the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWS&DB). Telecommunication facilities include SLT and Dialog optical fiber, supporting local and IDD communication. The zone maintains 24/7 security, chain-link fencing, and lighting, ensuring a safe and reliable environment for investors.
