Dr. Sulakshana Jayawardena serves as Director General of the Corporate Affairs Division of  the Ministry of Finance, Planning, & Economic Development. He is a distinguished veteran of  the Sri Lankan Administrative Service (SLAS), bringing over 23 years of expertise in public  administration, policy formulation, and large-scale project management to his leadership  role. Widely recognized for his transformative leadership, further he presently serves as a  board member of GovTech Sri Lanka, which is the Government of Sri Lanka’s lead  implementation agency for national digital transformation, and he is one of the founding  leaders and board members of the Data Protection Authority Sri Lanka, which was established  to enhance public trust in personal data protection, facilitate digitalization of economic  growth, and foster responsible innovation. 

Dr. Jayawardena has spent over two decades spearheading critical national initiatives,  particularly within the power and energy sector. His professional impact includes power sector reform, driving the transition to sustainable power sources through renewable energy  development, advancing national energy conservation, and implementing rural electrification  to support local communities.
